Department of Unintended Irony (DUI).

Pretty funny postcard sent out by the anti convention center hotel group. What's so funny about it, you ask? Well...

1) We don't have any bike lanes (yet) in Dallas, so this isn't a picture of a Dallas street (deception), and...

2) When we do have bike lanes, this is what they'll look like. If it's good enough for San Francisco (where this picture was probably taken) or Austin (who notoriously has narrow bike lanes like this), then it's good enough for us.

P.S. Regarding this card, vote no. Simplistic answers to complex issues are seldom the answer.

Simplistic answers to complex issues may seldom be the answer, but socialism and statism never are.

To use the advantages of government, including freedom from taxes and other laws, lower borrowing costs and eminent domain, to compete with private enterprise are as immoral and unethical as they are just plain stupid.
