A question about Sharrows.

Why does it include arrows?

Arrows are generally used to indicate direction. Yes, many people don't know that you are supposed to ride with traffic, not against it. The more important question should be, why is that sharrow painted in the door zone?

stu42j, I guess you mean that those are not arrows, but fish hooks set to catch salmon?

PM, are there any other road markings that indicate proper lane movements that use chevrons, or are arrows used? Or is this an introduction of a whole new class of road signage.
