Tell me, please, why you think I am posting this video of the (true) light rail line in my beloved (really) Houston. What is the lesson to be learned here?
The discussion lamp is lit.
P.S. I stole this from Commute Orlando. I encourage you to go there and steal wisdom on a regular basis.
PMS, I heard you're no longer the Dallas Bike Coordinator. Is it true? No more spandex wisdom? Biking in Dallas will really, really suffer. You've done so much. Happy bike trails...
Let's see, I'm going to guess it proves the point that any kind of traffic pattern that goes against the logic of traffic patterns we're used to will result in numerous accidents, kind of like how bike lanes result in right hook accidents. I'd be freaked out to see a comparable video to this one of cyclists getting right-hooked.
Bingo, Heather! Blue bike lanes, bike boxes, cycle-tracks, bike signals, bollards, planters, cattle-guards under trucks, and even more paint are all piled upon each other to contradict this very basic traffic principal... with no effect.

we should prohibit left turns across tracks?
Rueben, already done. Every one of those intersections has a "NO LEFT TURN" sign.

"No more spandex wisdom?"
I've always been about wool and cotton.

It borders upon the criminal.
