A question about this post to consider. WE NEED ANOTHER QUIZ!
The question is: "Suppose a cyclist was wearing this jersey, would he get honked at MORE or LESS often by motorists made somewhat cranky by rush hour traffic than if he was just wearing a generic yellow jersey?"
Assume all conditions, including lane position and riding style are otherwise identical.
Heading off this quiz, I'd venture a guess of "MORE OFTEN."
However, I have found a "victim" bumper sticker that I've been tempted by (perfect width for a trunk bag). It says "Please don't hit me, I'm not 100% sure of my insurance coverage."

And of course, it's a self-realizing prophecy, as the rider no doubt operates on the far right edge of the road, forcing the very conflict they fear. That the solution is so simple, so effective, and so ignored (fought, actually) is both sad and maddening.

Yes, but the bicycle rider would feel safer... and that's what counts nowadays, isn't it?

Similar to the "3ft pleeeeze" jersey... kinda like wearing a "kick me" sign on your back.
My thoughts, EXACTLY.

Well, I thought it was funny...
