Saw something that might have been a bike lane, didn't see the helmet on the rider!
Saw bunches of unhappy looking people, where is the smile folks? Hello, it is free! Try pretending to be happy, sometimes you can't help becoming happy, seriously!
Or may be that is the modern big city life, which I don't get :(
Other than the wrong-way cyclist, where did you not see safety?
I ask, because the video's protagonist, while not riding in the pedantic manner I do, nonetheless operated his vehicle in a mixed environment with ease, and without conflict.
Watch again. Here's what you see: a person playfully operating a bicycle in the densest urban traffic environment in the USA, relatively safely, interacting with other traffic in a manner that secures the space they need to operate, neither hugging the curb nor blocking other traffic, but becoming part of the flow. Without excuses.

Saw - a lot of questionable lane choices.
Didn't see - any bike racks at all.
I did enjoy the video, even if it's point is unclear to me.

What I saw:
Funniest bike video I have seen in a long time.
Near head-on crash with a bus.
What I didn't see:
Safety
"What I didn't see:
Safety"

I don't think most of those he hit would agree he operated with no conflict, most especially the guy that tried to chase him down.
He did operate fairly smoothly amongst the motorized vehicles, but I think they have pretty low expectations when it comes to cyclist behavior.
I can understand writing in a pedantic manner, but how does one RIDE in such a fashion?
