Nowadays, what gets the most attention? Email, snailmail, or nicely handwritten snailmail? I know what I would pay most attention to if it showed up where I work. Probably the middle one.
I wrote a nice snail-mail letter to the mayor, similar to what I posted. CC via email to other city officials is good (City Manager, Economic Development Director, Mayor Pro Tem, Tourism Director, Commissioners). The local paper, too.
The bummer about that list is that with the exception of the director of tourism, they all point ot one email address. So I wrote to the director of tourism and asked her to try to get some attention from the others. I cc'd that other email address too of course.
She did respond, saying that "proper authorities will be informed"... who knows, that could be good...
What kind of town has one email address posted for the entire political and municipal administration of a city? One guess...
